Guest speaker opportunity

01 November 2013  Coordinator Connect

MHPN is developing a Guest Speaker Register to help connect networks with a range of presenters.

Initially the Register will be used to help MHPN work with network coordinators to source speakers with particular fields of expertise to present at meetings.

Presenting at a network meeting

Guest speakers can present in person, or where technological support is available via skype or videoconferencing.

  • If you would like to register to present at a network meeting, please provide your details on the Guest Speaker Registration Form.
  • If you know someone who would be interested in being a guest speaker, please forward them this edition of e-news and recommend they consider volunteering to speak at network meetings.

Completing the Guest Speaker Registration Form will take about 5 - 10 minutes. You'll be asked to provide information like:

  • name
  • profession
  • contact details
  • topics on which you can present
  • how far you are willing to travel to present at a meeting.

What happens after I provide my details?

  1. Your details will be added to MHPN's Guest Speaker Register.
  2. MHPN project officers will liaise with network coordinators when they are looking to source a guest speaker for a meeting.
  3. If your presentation subject is of interest, the coordinator will either get in touch with you directly or via MHPN to make the necessary arrangements.

It is important to know that you can ask that the initial contact with the network goes through MHPN, with your contact details only provided to the network's coordinator with your express permission.
