Do you work with Melbourne's Iranian-Australian community?

20 March 2014  Network Story

MHPN is working with Ashraf Hosseini of the Centre for Mental Health at the University of Melbourne to establish a multidisciplinary professional network with a focus on supporting the mental health needs of Melbourne’s Iranian-Australian community.

Network purpose

The network plans to meet four times a year and bring together GPs and mental health professionals to provide a platform for:

  • professional development
  • peer support
  • gaining an understanding of available local services
  • identifying service gaps
  • exploring how services and individual practitioners can work together to meet the mental health needs of Melbourne’s Iranian-Australian community.

How to get involved

  1. Register your details
  2. Invite any other colleagues who may interest in becoming involved to register their interest.

What happens next . . .

When the first meeting is set, you'll be invited to attend. The meeting's location will depend on where the majority of those attending live/work.
